T-shirts remain the default blank for events, staff uniforms and retail merch, but the specification range inside this category is wider than the price range suggests. Fabric, yarn count and print method decide whether a shirt survives twenty washes or starts twisting after three.Fabric: 100 percent combed cotton at 160-180gsm is the standard for retail merch, 190-220gsm for staff uniforms that need to hold shape, and CVC (60/40 cotton-poly) or 100 percent polyester for sublimation and sport use.

Ring-spun yarn gives a smoother surface than open-end, which matters most on dark colours where poor yarn shows as a grey cast under light.Print methods: screen print for solid colours at volume, DTG for photographic detail on short runs, sublimation only on polyester, embroidery for left chest marks.

On dark cotton a white underbase is required, which adds weight to the print and changes the hand feel, so approve a strike-off before bulk if the design covers more than a 20cm square.Shrinkage is the most common complaint. Pre-shrunk fabric is standard above 500 pieces, and we test to a maximum of 5 percent length shrinkage after three washes at 40 degrees.

Sizing runs S to 4XL in EU or US grading. Samples 5-7 days, bulk 15-20 days.
